WHEN SPIRITS ATTACH

Do spirits attach themselves to the living?

What is an attached spirit?
An attached spirit is when an earthbound spirit is attracted to a living person and then begins to "hang out" with the living person.  After a while, the spirit finds that they become emotionally attached.  Often the spirit will feel safe or even complacent about being with the person. In most cases attached spirits don't have any ill-will and they don't mean to harm the person.  It's almost always just that the spirit had some connection to the person, either emotionally, similar life-experiences, or the spirit could have known the person in life or even a past life (this is an interesting concept).
This is just my take on it but I feel that spirits, like humans are very capable of 'liking' someone and seeking them out for companionship of sorts. This perhaps was the case that happened to me and my family after entering the home of my deceased friend shortly after his death and the weird things that started to happen soon after. Although several strange occurrences at my home were initially dismissed my son and I soon came to understand that something or someone was trying to get our attention and had possible followed us home. This was the beginning of our introduction to the world of the paranormal, the writing my book Estate of Horror which is being published and will be out in several weeks, the five years that have passed and the continuing impact that spirits have in our lives.
www.estateofhorror.com

I am always researching about the paranormal to learn what we are up against and I have read recently in a very interesting book called, The Ghosts of Cape May by Craig McManus, that many spirits really have no real sense of what they are, where they are or what they are doing. The live merely in the moment and know only that moment, thus have no concept of time or consequence, etc. like we do as living beings. Much to the dismay or delight of some of the inn keepers and proprietors of some of the most magnificent Victorian mansions in Cape May, New Jersey!

On the other hand, some spirits have knowledge of what they are doing and may just attach. As humans we often seek out relationships and friendships to form bonds, who can say it isn't the same in the other realm?
Psychic mediums suggest that most spirits are very sorrowful, lonely and 'lost'. It would only make sense for them to feel some sort of comfort with someone who is living.

My son and I believe as we were very close to my friend Paul*, that he wanted to be near us as a loving presence and to also act as a guardian. We also have been told of the "children ghosts" that reside in our home by several mediums and investigative teams. My son is convinced, with his own psychic take on these mischievous ghosts that they are drawn to me because of my empathetic nature and my mothering and caring spirit. We have told them they should leave and join their families in the afterlife but still they linger. We still trying to understand the reason for this.
* name has been changed

Summer-2013  My son took this photo after I told him of feeling something very cold near me.

The little ghosts that refuse to leave our home-why do they linger?*
* not images of the true ghosts but artist's concept

What about someone or a group that seek out spirits during investigations or otherwise? Do spirits tend to attach themselves to people who have medium potential?

A medium friend of mine conducted a class several years ago which I attended and told of her experience soon after visiting the battlefield at Gettysburg for an investigation. It was at home she soon realized that a Union Soldier had attached himself to her and was being quite annoying. She had us laughing in class as she described the next 2 weeks of him following her around like a lost puppy and her telling him he had to go back to where he belonged. He was being stubborn until finally one day he got the message and left but not before he told her he how bored he was with her and her uneventful life!  Hopefully, he went back to Gettysburg or maybe to his final and just reward into the light!

Spirits, I think they are drawn to people for several different reasons. One being, and this is just my opinion, they are wanting help of some kind or just someone to "hear" them and listen. If they know that you can do that, then I'm sure they will attach themselves to you.

Next week I will go into the more dangerous side effects of spirit attachment.

COLORED ORBS-WHAT DO THEY MEAN?

As with many of my blogs I write each week inspiration comes to me in many forms. I may be an article I have read about a recent particular event that has paranormal implications, something I have experienced concerning an supernatural episode that I have documented in the past 5 years or something that has recently occurred in my everyday paranormal life.

Such is the case with this blog on colored orbs. As recently as of 2 days ago (this post originally posted on December 27, 2013) I had an unusual thing happen to me at my brother's house on Christmas day. I'll get to that in a minute.

One of my most popular blogs with readers has been the one I wrote about ORBS.  Now as I continue this post I want to make this clear to everyone. This is a very sore and cantankerous point for some people in the paranormal community. (Indeed when posting anything related to orbs I have personally found it can bring out the most nasty, visceral comments, and name calling from otherwise nice people). There is no scientific proof to validate the theories that orbs exist or are ghosts, spirits or spiritual in nature. Bur, many of you my dear readers were kind and shared your stories about them and how they came into your lives.

With the invention of digital equipment, especially the digital camera, the proliferation of photos capturing the evidence of this phenomena is staggering. There is no doubt that this is not a new thing-there has probably always been the presence of orbs seen on older styles of photography but people didn't know what they were looking at. If you did see white circles on black and white photography you'd thought it was a error with the camera: glare, flare, dust on lens or water spotting when the negative and photos were being developed. And that's a possibility too.  One thing is evident to me now as a photo-restoration artist (for over 35 years) who has literary retouched and restored thousands of photos from the 1850's to present, I saw orbs on the photographs and did not know what they were until I started watching shows on the paranormal. I plea guilty (as I now realize) I retouched OUT orbs in old photos-thinking them defects. There is a big difference from what is a dust spot, a chemical stain from processing and an orb.  I know different now.
Old sepia photo of girl with doll and orb?

What I am constantly learning about the paranormal is- what I don't know-so I am always fascinated by the turn of events of new evidence of just how varied and unique the paranormal is.

Colored Orbs? They have meaning?!

I learned of these while at my deceased friend's house back in 2009 and the subject of my now published book, Estate of Horror.  For more information on my book and where to buy it check out my website www.estateofhorror.com. While at my friend's house we saw white, gold and black orbs. I wasn't even sure what I was seeing but research now verifies that these can exist. Also that the color of the orb means certain things.

Then in 2012 when we were filming our book trailer at my house, we unexpectedly captured Transparent, White, Medium Blue and Red Orbs outside my house on camera.
Notice that there is a large almost Clear Orb over the dormer window.

Bill, our director, did not see the Light Blue Orb while filming the inside shots for the trailer. It showed up later on our still photos.

Getting back to what happened on Christmas day 2013, my nephew snapped some photos with his cell phone of the family gathering and one caught our eye when he posted it up on Facebook. There we are at my brother's house and in the kitchen getting dessert ready. My back is to the camera as is my daughter-in-law's and son is in profile. Another nephew's face is obscured by one of the low hanging lamps over the kitchen island and they are both giving off glare. But something else is there. On my black sweater is a Greenish Orb. My nephew who took the photo was blown away!

So what do the colors mean? I did some research on Google and here is what I found.
The colors of orbs are assigned various meanings that have become the accepted norm within the paranormal community. These include almost every color of the rainbow. The orb colors have been assigned an emotional attribute instead of a stage of life or some other characteristic driving the determination of color designation.
These include, but aren't limited to:

*Black: Malevolent
Blue (dark): Shy spirit
*Blue (light): Tranquil, peace
*Blue (medium): Protection
Brown: Danger or earthbound
*Gold: Angelic, unconditional love
*Green: Healing orb or spirit
Lavender: Messenger from God
Orange: Protection, forgiveness
Peach: Spirit sent to comfort you
Pink: Accepting spirit
Purple: Orb of information
*Red: Anger or passion
Silver: Messenger
Violet: Guide for spiritual matters
*White: Protection of holy light and power

*Clear: sign that an entity is trying to communicate with you. The spirit may be trying to let the living know that some kind of significant event happened in that location, and that the spirit wants help to move on.
Yellow: Warning

FYI *orb descriptions with stars are the ones we have personally experienced.

Do Auras Influence Orb Color?
Some researchers theorize that if an orb is that of a deceased person then the color is dictated by the aura of the person's soul in its disembodied form. Other paranormal and supernatural investigators espouse the idea that angelic energy creates gold and purple orbs. (Think back, if you ever known someone who was truly mean, hateful with no sense of moral conscience I am sure their accompanying auras would not give off anything but a dark or negative energy that represent that person's black soul.)

There's no proof that the various definitions of what each color represents or signifies is true. BUT anyone who has seen orbs with their own eyes and experienced paranormal activity associated with it knows these are a real phenomenon and need to be researched not ignored or dismissed as invalid.

It is within us who have witnessed neutral or colored orbs to draw our own conclusions and meanings. For me, I would like to think that my recently deceased mother and father (who died 3 years ago) were the spirits, represented by the green orb on my sweater on Christmas day, joining in and celebrating the holiday with their family.

THE SPIRIT OF SHACKAMAXON

It was with great sadness when I learned in December 2013 of the passing of one of my dad's dearest friends, Bob Martin of Roanoke, Virginia. Bob and my dad met when they were cadets in training in North Carolina to fly on a B-24 during WW 2.
They continued their training in Omaha, Nebraska and then were sent to Tucson, Arizona where they met the rest of the 10-member crew to train together and get ready to assemble and fly overseas on their B-24, called the Shacksmaxon.

Bob was the last living member of that daring 10-member crew.

I once asked my dad about the name of their plane and he told me he was the one who came up with it.
For those of you unfamiliar with the name Shackamaxon here's a brief history on it's origin.
Shackamaxon or Shakamaxon was a historic village along the Delaware River inhabited by Delaware (Lenape)Indians in North America. It was located within what are now the borders of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From the Lenape term Sakimauchheen Ing (pronounced Sak-i-mauch-heen Ing) which means “to make a chief or king place”; called “Shackamaxon” by the English, Dutch, and Swedes. It's where the Lenapi "crowned" their many family sakima (chief) or their three clan kitakima (big or clan chief) of the Lenape Nation. It is now modern Frankford-Kensington, Philadelphia, and there is a monument marking its relative location.

In 1682 William Penn reportedly signed a peace treaty with the leaders of the Delaware village under an ancient elm tree.

In the 19th century, the territory of Shackamaxon was developed as part of Port Richmond, Fishtown, and Kensington sections of Philadelphia. Today there is a Shackamaxon Street in Philadelphia which runs through those neighborhoods. My dad grew up in South Philadelphia and had many friends that lived in those parts of Philadelphia. No doubt that name stuck in his memory and meant something special to my dad. As they flew a B-24 also known as the Liberator, the name Shackamaxon perhaps represented to the men who flew her that their plane would indeed help to liberate the people in Europe and establish or make a new "Chief's" place to replace the Nazi regime.

Tucson, Arizona was a very hot place to train as my dad would recall many years later. One of his favorite stories was that all the soldiers had to remember to shake out their boots in the morning in case scorpions had crawled into them during the night! (it seemed they liked the cool damp interior of army boots!)

Later in the summer of 1943 my dad, Bob along with the rest of the crew of the Shackamaxon flew to Europe and settled in a tent camp in a olive grove outside of Foggia, Italy where their air base was set up.(ironically the village of my dad's father's birth in 1894 and who came to the U.S. at the age of 4).

These young men answered the call to duty for their country as so many of their "Depression age" generation did.
What must have gone through their minds as they sailed far away to face a enemy bent on conquering the world by forcing an ideology of domination through tremendous terror, the destruction of entire villages, towns, cities and countries and the whole-sale murder of countless millions who stood in their way? What courage these young men, in their early twenties, had to leave their families, friends, jobs and in the case of my dad and Bob-their fiancée's- and knowing they may never see them again.

They were members of the 451st, 15th Air Force Bombardment Group that flew over Europe on bombing missions to destroy roads, bridges, train depots and oil fields to deprive the Nazi army and their allies of supplies.

On one of their 22 missions, on April 1945, with their landing gear shot out from underneath them, they were forced to crash land in Yugoslavia.

Luckily, none of the 10 member crew suffered serious injuries and were rescued by Tito's underground army (who were allies of the west), kept safe until they were picked up by a rescue plane and returned to their air base.

Years later their pilot, Gates Christensen, told us at a 30 year reunion of the 451st,  that he never had a doubt that they would survive that day. He gave the crew a choice to either parachute out over enemy territory or stay with the plane. The crew unanimously voted to stay with the plane praying and trusting in his skill to land the plane safely. He said he did not feel alone in the cockpit but that something of divine nature was with him at the controls. Miracle? If they all died that day I wouldn't be here-so I'll go with that explanation.

But unfortunately the mighty B-24 Shackamaxon was left behind, another victim of Hitler's War but had survived intact to protect it's crew.

It wasn't long after that victory was declared in Europe on June 5th 1945 and soon after my dad and Bob with their mission accomplished, returned home to civilian life, married their sweethearts, ran successful business, raised families and each celebrated over 65 years of marriage before they passed away. These men lived lives of integrity, honesty and devotion to duty and we their descendants are so proud of them. No wonder they are called the greatest generation!

So on this Memorial Day and all other holidays honoring our service men and women, may we all remember those who cannot be with us especially those who have served our country and will never be coming home. Their spirits remain in our hearts and memories for all that they represented that was good in our lives and our country. May they all rest in peace in our Savior's loving embrace for all eternity.

To Shackamaxon and her crew who have flown into the history books I say, "Mission Accomplished!
All of your crew is safely home!"

SPIRIT RODS-ARE THEY REAL?

One of the more controversial and recently questioned phenomena has been the "Rod" and if this is possibly a real spirit manifestation or just bugs on a camera lens or a common object unnaturally elongated that was created by a long stutter speed.

For lack of a better term they are called "Spirit Rods" and they are indeed a fascinating subject that have been reported and photographed by many people throughout the world and witnessed- mostly accidentally.

The Rods were first filmed by Jose Escamilla at Midway, New Mexico on March 19, 1994. Since that day in 1994, over 58 million people have visited his website: http://www.roswellrods.com/story.html (where Jose is originally from)

Thousands have submitted photos, video clips and written reports from experiences they have had with Rods. What is extraordinary about most of the written reports submitted by people from all walks of life, are that some of them have relayed information that only Jose Escamilla and his team of researchers had found out for themselves. Information that has never been released to the public started coming in from reports made by eye witnesses from different parts of the world.

Here's what has been described and what they all have in common. They are mostly long, white rod shaped things that appear mostly invisible to the naked eye. They can be several inches in length or several feet long. Sometimes they have come in different colors but white is the most frequently seen. When caught on film, video or still photos, they appear gliding, flexible and darting at a high rate of speed through the air. They have been seen during the day in the sky, caught on photos that have been taken at night or day, indoors and out, and divers have been reported of capturing images of rods underwater in single incidents and in groups or "schools".

An example of a Spirit Rod can be seen in action on this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZsS5RJgck8

So what are they?

Paranormal researchers know that ghosts are spirits that come into manifestation in ectoplasmic form. (They are spirits trapped between dimensions). As with all things - ghosts have their own frequency signatures. As the ectoplasm is the substance that enables spirits to manifest physically to some degree, sometimes the ectoplasmic energies can be seen - and other times photographed. Ectoplasm is not solid in consistency but more fluid and the shapes ghosts take can vary from almost human to animals, spiral rings, haze, orbs, balls of light, rods or ribbons.
So is that what they are? Just a spirit form of ectoplasm? Or is it something else?

Theories abound on "spirit rods" that they could be possible extra-terrestrial or entities from the fourth dimension, but one thing is certain they cannot all be explained or dismissed by conventional standards.

In 1991 during a space mission, astronaut Story Musgrave, reported seeing a rod or snake like object outside the window of the space shuttle Atlantis. The photo shown is one captured by NASA. Although it was explained away as random debris shaken loose by vibrations from the shuttle, it was later checked that no items were missing from the shuttle and all external materials were checked and accounted for. Today Musgrave lectures and contends this was something extra- terrestrial and not a man made object.

Would you willing to challenge conventional wisdom when you have had your own experience with spirit rods?
It was such an experience my daughter-in-law had the week of  December 12, 2013 that prompted me to make this the subject of this blog.
She was in my parent's home kitchen (she and my son moved there after the recent death of my mother) and was preparing dinner. As she and my son were sitting down at the table to eat she suddenly saw a flash of a long white rod dart from the left side of the kitchen to the sink. It happened so fast it totally startled her and her frightened reaction scared my son, too-who didn't catch site of it.

My son and I apparently captured strange looking rods on one of our photos in our hallway several years ago (when we had a lot of poltergeist activity) and weren't sure what is was, and actually ignored it. After researching for this blog I am re-examining our other photos to see what we missed.

We are not sure what these are and don't make a factual claim that these are spirit robs. Just interesting what we captured on film.

My son and I captured these images with his digital camera in late August of 2013 in our living room. Our photos show there were possibly rods along with the orbs (coming out of the dining room) present that night. It would seem, as there is on our real plane of existence, there is a great diversity in the spirit realm, too!

My son and his wife have also been witnessing some very strong poltergeist activity since they moved to my parent's house. My son has reported to me being awaken at night with loud bangs, voices and destruction of some of his models he has been working on for a client.

Some objects have moved in the kitchen, and a sun- catcher was smashed to the ground in the powder room next to the kitchen. These very similar occurrences happened in my house and it seems some spirits possible have traveled with my son to his new home; much to my and his wife's dismay.
In a future blog I will let you know what happened after Bill Bean, world renown spiritual minister, paranormal author and demonic survivor came to their house and his finding with his team. His finding and the results were both shocking and surprising!

CREEPY TOYS UNDER YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE?

Haunted Angels, Elves and Bears-Oh My!

Haunted doll and toys auctions during the holidays can be very entertaining. Here is my blog from last year that generated so many page views I figured I revisit a few of the most bizarre, interesting and weird toys that were selling or were sold on eBay last year. It continues to astonish me the hundreds of auctions for "supposedly haunted" toys and the people who buy them. After reading the clever, creative descriptions and stories behind these items you can only wonder: Would you want these toys under your tree?

( P.S. I've added my skewed views for a little spice in bold emphasis)

ANGEL DOLL FOUND IN CEMETERY

Starting bid-$9.99

Here is the description by seller:
"Recently while going thrift shopping I saw this little angel in a sealed box and just had to have it.  The shop owner told me that it had been found in a cemetery a long time ago sealed in the box sitting on a bench. There was no one around and no one knew where it came from or who put it there or why?

It has been the source of many stories and legends."

(I thought you said that no one knew where it came from-so how would you know it's the source of stories and legends)

"One story is that sometimes it glows at nights and when it does something usually bad happens.   One lady's dog died, another person went bankrupt.  Just a coincidence?  I don't know.

(Again vague, anecdotal and without any proof)
So buy at your own risk!  Someone or something does not want it opened-could it be a dybbuk box???"

(Wooooo-it may be a dybbuk box-scary-we go again using the "dybbuk box" ploy to get you to buy this piece of junk)

(I don't think this looks like an angel (where's the wings?) and that spirit energy coming from it-isn't that someone's thumb? Wow! You had me at dumb!)

The seller continues,"Buyers this is not for children.  This is not a toy.  Buyers should not be afraid of the paranormal! Buy at your own risk.
All items are as is.  They are not cleaned in any way as to keep the spirits from being kept in my home.  (What the...?)
Will also sell to Canada, Australia and the UK international shipping rates will apply."  (
Oh, to be Globally haunted!)

HAUNTED OUIJA BOARD, ACTIVE WITH ELVES!

Starting Bid at $39.99

(It's not enough that a Ouija board can talk to ghosts or whatever, but this one has to actually be haunted, too. How does that work?)

Here is the description from Seller:
"This Ouija Board comes with the original box and the box is not in the best condition, but the board is in great condition! This particular board is an active board and I would only recommend it to someone with experience as entities that you do not wish to have communication with sometimes will come through. You need to be able to point out what is what and that comes with experience.
No Ouija Board is guaranteed to never let you communicate with something that has mislead you, but I have blessed this board with the power of protection for anyone who chooses to use it will have a less likely chance of communicating with a negative entity. I have used this board on almost a daily basis and I know it to be a very active board."

(After using the board for a few months, the seller recounts that something called "Ailfrid" started talking to her and claiming to be a clan of elves. Of course she looked it up, and sure enough, "Ailfrid" means "Elf Counsel" in Gaelic.  Proof!)

(Oh, and also, the ghosts are now elves? Looking at this scary self sitting elf you'd better be nicer than naughty!)

As to make the point stick, the seller finally adds, "I will also be sending a free gift on behalf of the holidays! My spirits always choose their new homes and whoever is meant to win will!"

(If you're ever worried about buying something like this based on a bunch of hearsay, the seller assure us that they never place an item up for auction unless they believe it to be truly haunted. Are the spirits the FREE gift and the haunting the bonus? I think I'll stick with a free coupon for a Dunkin Donuts coffee).

HAUNTED CHILD'S OLD TOY BEAR- SEEKS DEAD GIRL (HUH?)
Starting Bid $19.99

(Yeah, you read right. The toy bear is seeking a dead girl (because a live one won't do?) The seller is hocking a haunted plush bear that doesn't look remarkable or haunted-just old and dusty. But what sets this apart from all the other useless stuff one finds in one's attic is that it's possessed by the soul of a girl named Cindy who was killed in a hit and run. How is this a selling point? I don't know.)

Here is the seller's description:
"You can hear Cindy's (the little girl that supposedly died in an accident) voice emanating from the bear, which sounds distorted and like an old record playing that will keep skipping.' Also there are orbs. Cindy's mother was understandably distraught by all of this, but as luck would have it, she was also an amateur paranormal sleuth who knew an "investigator" who could test the toy for "haunted-ness". (is that a word?) Sure enough, after the bear cried all over his floor, she concluded that it carries with it the ghost of the little girl."
( Oh, for crying out loud!-no pun intended)

(So what does her mother do when she finds out that she's harboring the ghost of her dead daughter? She hires a person who sells it on eBay for 20 bucks. Thanks, Mom).

So if you take an ordinary, cheap, dull or ugly looking toy that is one step away from being tossed in the trash and want to make some money with it- just say it's haunted- or make up a fantastic story about it origins- say its possessed or take a lousy photo with a lens flare and say look at the "spirits" attached to it. It's always goes back to the old saying and it's particularly appropriate to this creepy subject, Buyer Beware! If you want to have a real spirited holiday-spike the punch! Cheers!

HAUNTED DOLLS ON AUCTION-HOLIDAY SPIRITS

In keeping with the time of the Christmas Season, I am revisiting a theme one of my all time favorite blogs: Haunted Dolls which has well over 400 page views since posted.
What prompted my wanting to expand this blog was not only its popular subject and how many people responded to it on such a personal level; but by a recent viewing on the Dolls pages on eBay when I was buying an antique doll head to complete a doll project I've had in the works for quite some time.

As I mentioned in my blog about haunted dolls I poised the question, "Do previous owners of objects such as: dolls, toys, or other sentimental items attach themselves to it after they pass away? Or do "lost" spirits find the host item through their journey in our world?"
Many shared with me their personal stories of how treasured toys and objects either handed down in their family or acquired through buying in an antique store or flea market were sometimes causing paranormal problems in their home. It would seem like the outwardly appearing normal and innocent toys were actually showing signs of the aggression or movement that was explained as having a former owner's spirit still attached to it. And these were brought into their homes unknowingly without prior experiencing the paranormal. They were not looking for any trouble with spirits.

So, up on auction sites I found the deliberate selling of spirits- wholesale!  'TIS THE SEASON TO BE HAUNTED!

Bisque Doll in Coffin in Festive Holiday Red Dress

Would you believe there are at this time there are over 785 "haunted dolls " listed up on eBay right now? I am not making this up. It turns out that eBay is full of "haunted" (or cursed, or possessed) items people are trying to get rid of. These fall into two categories: items being sold by the extremely superstitious, and worthless junk being sold by hucksters hoping someone is gullible enough to buy them if they claim it's magic.

In the case of "haunted dolls" the sellers claim their clowns, bisque girl dolls, and other toys are actually "haunted" and therefore they are asking for nice sums of money for these otherwise common inexpensive items. And what surprises me is that people are bidding and buying them! Really. What makes someone actually want to buy a reported "spirit possessed" doll, clown or another type of toy on purpose!!
Is their desire for an unusual experience of the unknown so important to them that they could possibly risk their mental or physical health or even their lives?!

A lot of people are tossing around the word "haunted" on eBay. So many that if you actually want YOUR haunted item to get noticed, you have to convince people that it's really, really haunted. Like, more haunted than any of the other search results.

Here are few of the most intriguing and questionable 'haunted' toys on eBay along with sellers descriptions that are short stories in themselves. I've included my take on the particular item.

#1 Vintage SIMON & HALBIG DOLL HEAD* w Haunting glass eyes!  RARE FIND FROM ISLA DE LAS MUNECAS

Price $79.00             0 BIDS             BUY IT NOW

Known as “La Isla de la Munecas”, by the Spanish, The Island of the Haunted Dolls is perhaps the creepiest tourist attraction in Mexico. Located within an extensive network of canals, south of Mexico City, the island is a place of mystery and superstition. Almost every tree growing on the island is decorated with old, mutilated dolls that give anyone the feeling that they’re constantly being watched. The story behind the Island of the Dolls began when a hermit by the name of Don Julian Santana moved here. Although he was married he chose to live the last 50 years of his life alone. Don Julian used to say he was haunted by the ghost of the little girl who had drowned in one of the canals around the island. Some say he used to fish the dolls from the water because he though they were real children, but the truth is he was collecting and placing them around his home as a shrine for the spirit that tormented him. At one point he even traded home grown fruit and vegetables for old dolls. Ironically, in 2001 Don Julian Santana was found dead by his nephew, in the same canal that he said the little girl drowned in. Now his Island of the Dolls is one of the world’s weirdest tourist attractions. Some tourists who visited this place claim the dolls whisper and you must offer them a gift upon setting foot on the island, to appease their spirits. ** OWN THIS POWERFUL OCCULT ITEM**

FYI- This is not the doll head I purchased. This doll head is not old bisque doll head but a repro Simon & Halbig (from a mold their Asian doll head series) made in 1983. Did the seller dare risk the wrath of the dolls on the island by taking this head off the "doll tree" or just happened to have some doll parts lying around he just wanted to get rid of and sell for a good price. Antique Simon & Halbig heads in perfect condition go for $100-200.00.
A few other questions came to mind. Did the little girl who drowned own this doll? Is that how it became haunted? When your friends ask you why you bought something that looks like a rejected prop from a movie and you tell them it's because it's possessed by ghosts, do you expect them to ever talk to you again?

#2 Dybbuk Box & Haunted Doll in Found In Wall

PRICE STARTING AT  $15.99      1-Bid            Free Shipping

"If you have ever purchased a doll from my me you know that many of the dolls and items I sell come from families that are afraid of the spirits in their collections which they receive when they inherit a doll or item from someone who has passed away. I also sell somethings from my private collection.  My collecting of supernatural items is endless.  Recently this dybbuk box along with this doll was found walled up in the basement of my great aunts home.  While remodeling a room down there this was found in the wall where the contractor went to knock down the wall to open up another nearby room. The workers were so scared they did not come back and work until a week later.  They were wrapped in an old dish cloth when found What we do not know did this.  The contractor brought it up to us and he thought it was very weird.  We all knew right away it was a dybbuk box with spirit possessed doll.  The bottom of the box is sealed with wax. We thinks it is to keep the spirit from escaping. My aunt, my mom and I just looked at each other.  We did not open up the box even though our curiosity was getting the best of us.  My mom and I took the box and doll with us as we did not want to leave them with a frail old lady it could scare her to death.  So we brought them to my house."

* If there is a spirit in the box I do not want to let it out so it is up to the new owner to take that risk.  Since I deal with paranormal items all the time I know better!
Warning! You must be eighteen to purchase this item.  Seller assumes all responsibility for this item once purchased.  Buyers this is not for children.  This is not a toy.  Buyers should not be afraid of the paranormal! Buy at your own risk.
Whether or not you will experience paranormal activity depends on your aura and if the objects are attracted to you.

OK, so you are telling us that you didn't want to scare to death the frail old lady who owned this thing -so you bravely took it from her and brought the "dybbux" box (because they knew it was one - yeah, sure) and doll to your house. Great idea! And now you are selling it for the low, low price of $15.99, evil spirit included. But remember you may not have the right aura or you may not be a spirit magnet-so its your own fault you don't get haunted.  In any event, you better be careful bidding on this one, as the seller did warn you, as it'd be downright irresponsible to sell a demon-possessed toy without a warning. And did I mention it comes with free shipping!

#3 Is This Clown Doll Haunted??
BUY IT NOW/ Best Offer       0 Bids       Price-$400.00

"Ebay I am not stating that this particular doll is haunted, just saying it is similar to one that was..
The heading on this auction is a question not an answer".
Note: I sold a similar clown doll in November of 2002 Which was haunted, the clown doll would move. After placing him in one place in our home he would end up in another. The clown doll I sold in 2002 is also in two books one called: Ghosts Among Us written by Leslie Rule.  I have been a paranormal investigator for about 20 years now. In the last 5 years or so I mainly research non-animated objects mostly dolls. I bought this doll because I felt it might have some paranormal activities to it, but just haven’t had the time to study him. I will leave the research to the new owner.
Not all dolls I purchased have paranormal actives attach to them. Sometimes, I just get a funny feeling about them. A weird vibe or like if my heart skips a beat whenever I encounter a doll that might have paranormal activities
I am not psychic by any means. I just get a weird feeling. I don’t believe that there is any danger, but I guess it won’t hurt to take precautions. .
Description: 31 inches tall The body is firmly stuffed muslin. with wire armature. Made in the 1940’s or 50’s.
This clown doll looks to be ALL original. The clothes are a little tattered, the right hand needs mending and there are a wire protruding from each foot ( not sharp).
Are all these clown dolls haunted or just the one I sold in 2002? Was the place where these dolls where made, built on sacred ground or a cemetery? These dolls are a mystery in themselves.

Shipping for this doll -$ 25.00 Plastic wrapped for your safety.
Don't be fooled about with this benign looking, OK-creepy thing, I'll call him BOZO the Clown, (quoted the auctioneer,"He felt might be haunted") because he had another clown doll that was sold and that was reportedly turned out to be a now famous possessed clown. To emphasis that this clown may be haunted, check out his backdrop of the tombstone and cemetery location. It sure doesn't sound like something you'd want to willingly shell out the 400 bucks he's asking for it. The only hazard I can see owning this doll is getting tetanus from the exposed dirty wire protruding from his foot.
But BOZO doll comes with a fail safe: That plastic bag it's wrapped in. Yes, the plastic bag could be only thing stopping BOZO from wreaking all kinds of Child's Play-style havoc because evil clown dolls are notoriously thwarted only by a quarter of a millimeter of plastic.

During this holiday season the only spirits you want to have present in our home are love, peace and joy. So stay away from these cheesy auctions, keep your money and just add some spirits to your eggnog! CHEERS!
